Someone once said “a day without laughter is a day wasted.” I feel like that must be the unspoken philosophy these two share. It encourages my heart to see two people that enjoy each other and respect each other. My prayer for them is that continues for years to come and that this is the time that they love each other the least. Ife and Elizabeth, you are lovely together…your love is an encouragement and a testimony to those around you. I love it when my clients tell me they are not photogenic. It’s like a challenge to prove them wrong. I typically disregard these disclaimers because given a little nudge, I have yet to find a couple I shoot that can’t rock it in front of the camera. These two are no exception. They did just that. With two gorgeous people and some beautiful light you really can’t go wrong! Here are some faves!

Michael + Jill

Jill and Michael were an especially fun couple to shoot because Jill is a friend of mine! These two dated in college, broke up, and then eventually made their back to each other again. I love stories that end like that {sigh}. Michael completely surprised Jill when he proposed and I couldn’t be happier that these two are getting married! They are a lovely match for each other!

The two of them worked it in front of the camera together as well! Here are some of my favorites from our session!

Jessica and Brian radiate nothing but laughter and life when they are together. I love when couples just have fun in front of the camera…and these two were pros by the end of our session. Phillip+Carissa: Bride and Groom Session

You might remember Phillip and Carissa’s wedding that I posted not too long ago! We recently did a Bride and Groom session and it was really a lot of fun! These two know how to work it in front of the camera and keep each other laughing constantly. These two have a love for good food and so we shot in one of their favorite restaurants called Hattie’s. You should also stop by the blog they have started for some good recipes, restaurant reviews, and cooking tips….I love it!

Bride and Groom Sessions are one of my favorite things! It’s an opportunity after the wedding to get some great photos and also it allows us to shoot in a location we might not have been able to on the wedding day! It’s a really great option if you decide not to do a First Look on the wedding day as well!

Brunch Date

One of my favorite things in the world is brunch! I think I’m really supposed to be living in New York City where brunch is a cultural norm on Sundays. There’s something about sitting around with a friend in the middle of the morning sipping coffee and eating something completely unhealthy for you that just makes my heart happy.

My lovely friend Hollie and I had a brunch date recently. It was delightful. If you haven’t ventured over to Grapevine and hit up the Main Street Bread Baking Company then you really should go…run even! I had the Nutella French Toast and if you’re a fan of Nutella…as I am…then this will be heaven for you. It’s rich and so I couldn’t finish it all, but I tried to put a dent in it and had a little help from Hollie!

So if you ever wake up one morning and say to yourself…”self, I really want to go to brunch” but have nobody to go with…call me…I will always say yes to brunch!

Eric + Jessica : Engagement

I love my friends. I love when my friends fall in love. And I definitely love when they allow me to capture that love through my lens. Eric and I have been friends for a while….he’s as sweet as pie…..really he is….one of the sweetest guys you will ever meet. So it’s only fitting that his fiancee Jessica is one of the sweetest girls you’ll ever meet. Together they will give you a cavity!

I’m so excited to be apart of their special day as their friend and photographer. Here are some of my personal favorites…leave them some love and let them know how fabulous they are! Love you Eric and Jessica!
