1.  New Girl:  I knew I would love this show the minute I saw that Zooey Deschanel was in it.  She’s one of my favorite actresses of all time and is a combination of the girl next door + quirky that you can’t help but love.  New Girl is light-hearted and fun and I’m hoping it will stick around for a while.  Deschanel’s character is adorable and awkward…two things I love.  It’s a show I definitely look forward to each week!

2.  Bath&Body Works Candles:  I’m a little obsessed with candles.  Once the holidays approach I make a switch from my normal citrusy smelling candles to something a little more holiday-ish and  cozy.  That’s where the Bath&Body Works Homemade Cookie Candle comes in.  I love cookies and if my house can smell like them for three to four months of the year then I’m in!  These are great candles that last for a while and aren’t too pricey!  Other scents I’ve liked are Cinnamon Sugared Donut & Pumpkin Caramel Latte.

3. Smoke Restaurant:  This may mean nothing to you if you aren’t in the Dallas area, but if you ever visit the Dallas area this is a great place for a nice dinner.  It has a really cool atmosphere and a unique menu.  The line-up of food we had would make your taste buds explode: pimento cheese croquettes, pit roasted cabrito and fresh masa, german style potatoes, grilled BBQ cornish game hen. I wish I had saved room for some homemade churros with with mexican chocolate and orange marmalade….but now I have a reason to go back!  It’s right next door to the Belmont Hotel, which has a great view of the Dallas skyline from the bar patio…so if you have some time go grab a drink and a great view!

4.  Rifle Paper Co. Notebooks:  I love paper products.  When you find paper goods with a great design element it just makes the world feel right.  I have loved this company for a while.  Anna Bond makes the absolute cutest paper products.  You’ve probably run across some of them if you’ve ever strolled through Anthropologie.  I just found the notebooks and it totally made my day.  My theory is that if you write your “to do” lists down in pretty notebooks then it makes them more fun to do…right???

5.  MAC Creme Sheen Lip Gloss:  MAC makes the best lip gloss. I have used their MAC Lustreglass in Love Nectar for several years, but recently I branched out and started using their Creme Sheen Lip Gloss and it’s just lovely.  It’s got great coverage, has a creamy texture that makes your lips should ‘oh yeah’, and comes in some very pretty colors.  I used the color Partial to Pink all summer and it’s a really pretty light pink that is perfect if you just want to add a splash of color.

6. Jam Jar Wine: This was a great little find at World Market per the suggestion of a friend.  I love the name and the packaging…both are adorable!  It’s also really inexpensive at only about $9 a bottle.  Inexpensive wine that tastes great is my love language.  The End.

I had a blast shooting their rehearsal dinner and wedding!  I loved hearing all of the sweet words people had to say about them and seeing how much people love them both! They had a fabulous party to celebrate their marriage….people didn’t want to go home!  Robert and Molly thanks so much for having me be a part of your big day and many blessings as you being this new chapter of your life together!

Kelli and Vanessa are an inspiring duo that are passionate about the power of collaboration in the creative process.  We talked about what inspires us and using that inspiration to create things we love and that reflect who we are as artists.  They also discussed branding, social media marketing, and styling.  I definitely left more inspired by what they had to say, but also just loved all the great conversations I had with other attendees.

We had two styled shoots throughout the day, so I’ve included some of my perspective from those below!

This family has a special place in my heart because they are dear friends, so it’s always a pleasure to photograph their little family!  Chavon and Casey have been such a lovely example to watch as they parent Jude with love and grace and I feel thankful for Jude that he has two people that love and hope for him so much!  I pray that one day he will be thankful for that as well!  Love you Taylor family!

These two had a lovely wedding right outside of Fredericksburg, Texas at the Kairos Celebration Barn.  The weather was perfect and all of their closest family and friends were there to help them kick off their marriage with a wonderful celebration.  Claire even managed to surprise Brett with his favorite band Eleven Hundred Springs.

Claire and Brett, thank you so much for allowing the honor of capturing this important day!  The two of you looked amazing and had a wonderful time with you both!
