I love shooting bridal sessions! My brides are great and are always willing to do whatever I ask…and I love that! This bride is no exception…Jennifer did a great job in front of the camera and I am totally loving these beautiful shots of her!

I'm a flip flop, jeans wearing kind of girl. I love a hard laugh and a good cry. Good music makes my heart go *pitter patter*. I like to take pretty pictures. Life is 300% better when ice cream is involved. Traveling makes me feel alive. I love to sing, but am not what you call "good". Mexican food makes my world a better place. Sparkly things make me smile. If Anthropologie would let me move into their store I would. Polaroids make me feel nostalgic. I would consider people watching a hobby. Road trips with friends restore the rest to my soul. I think best when laying in a hammock. People fascinate me. I love, love. I'm an extroverted introvert. Photography is another way for me to see the world. This is me...welcome to what I love.
I am a Dallas based wedding photographer, but am always looking to travel to different places. I shoot a select number of weddings and portraits every year so if you're engaged or if you are just wanting a senior/portrait session I would love to hear from you! Check out recent work here on my blog and I love comments so please say hi!

Disclaimer: I was not this cool in high school. (I’m pretty sure in my senior pictures I was wearing a horrible denim shirt and hugging a tree.)
Luckily trends have changed and Jordan’s pictures rock! She has incredible style and I loved this shoot…here are some faves!

“Solitude is such a potential thing. We hear voices in solitude that we never hear in the hurry and turmoil of life; we receive counsels and comforts, we get under no other condition….” -Amelia Barr
A few weeks ago I took a trip to Colorado with a few of my greatest friends. It was one of the best trips I have taken for several reasons. Of course a big reason was that it was in Colorado…it doesn’t get much better than that. I’m typically a beach kind of girl, but I loved Colorado. I loved the snow crunching under my boots, I loved the silence, I loved the abundance of white snow, and the larger than life mountain ranges. I’ve come to realize I love being surrounded by things that make me feel small….mountains, oceans, clusters of skyscrapers….it puts things in perspective for me. It brings me back to the realization that I am like this little speck, but this little speck that was created by this vast, magnificent Creator. This wonderful, marvelous Creator that surrounded me with so much experiential beauty…. he uses it to remind me that He is mighty, He is creative, He is loving, and that He chose me. I was reminded of all of those things and so much more on this trip. I adored sitting in absolute silence….it felt like I was alone in the world….but not in a lonely way. It was life-giving, refreshing, and in some ways a healing balm for my battered spirit. This trip was the perfect beginning to 2010 and all of it’s possibilities!

These are the lovely people I road tripped it with! Love each one of them in such different ways, but they all make my heart want to burst with how blessed I am to have them as friends!

My sweet friend Jourdan is a very talented musician in the Dallas area. You should check her music out here. She is not only a talented singer, but is just an all around beautiful girl. Laughter is always contagious when she is around and you never know what she’s going to be up to next! We recently updated her pictures on one of the coldest, windiest days possible. Jourdan stuck it out with me and we got some beautiful shots! Go buy her CD…she rocks!

Sometimes I just want to shoot for fun….no pressure…just the freedom to do what I want and learn along the way. That’s basically what this shoot was about. I learned a lot from this shoot as far as planning and timing go and I had fun doing it! My friend Ryan joined me on this shoot as well so go check out his shots as well. Thanks Lauren for being our model and thanks to Nicole White for doing a fabulous job on Lauren’s makeup!
